Intro

We are currently at a historic turning point, and at the same time we exist in a self-perpetuating paradoxical system full of contradictions. This system has become increasingly complex over decades and ultimately does us more harm than good.

On the one hand, there are incredible positive potentials and groundbreaking achievements; on the other, destructive ideologies and collective self-destruction. Ecosystems are on the brink of collapse. Greed forces us to pursue eternal growth at the expense of others. Scientific findings are ignored. Populist slogans poison our minds. Radical opinion makers explain the world to us. Entire societies are being divided. And the crisis of all crises is imminent.

In view of the many problems and crises, caused mainly by human and systemic failure, the responsibility for positive change lies all the more in the hands of each one of us.

It is up to us to decide whether we indulge in excessive consumption, at the expense of others and the whole environment.

Whether we allow populist politicians, autocratic leaders, questionable media, and other opinion makers to dictate the world to us.

Whether we ignore scientifically proven and generally accepted facts, or reinterpret them in favour of our political and religious beliefs.

Whether we allow ourselves to be degraded to digital cattle by manipulative algorithms and profit-oriented data giants.

Whether we continue to revolve around ourselves powerlessly in view of the complexity of things.

Or whether we decide to transform the system together and for the benefit of all humanity. To bring about something positive, as a valuable part of the greater whole.

The list of systemic contradictions is endless and often overwhelming. The tendency toward supposedly simple solutions to yesterday’s problems isn’t a good strategy for the challenges of tomorrow. Clinging to long-outdated structures, systems, and ideologies paralyzes development and the necessary progress toward a just, peaceful, sustainable, and social global economic system.

Away from a selfish and externally controlled economy that disempowers and divides us, towards an altruistic and intrinsic economy that connects us and allows us to develop freely.
